Overview

Monterey Bay Scholars Academy is a private, individualized learning institution emphasizing social-emotional development, critical thinking, innovation, self expression, outdoor exploration, and community connection. The program integrates an interdisciplinary approach with modern, inquiry-based learning in STEM and humanities. Emphasizing connection through effective communication and active listening skills, students will also learn interpersonal skills, empathy, and develop self awareness.

Our Approach

We believe that learning should be engaging, interactive, and fun. That's why we have developed a unique approach to education that combines traditional teaching methods with outdoor exploration, movement, and collaboration. Our courses are designed to be interactive, hands-on, and tailored to the needs of each individual student. Our approach includes lots of reading, creative expression, and movement, without the use of screens.
